Phi Mu Exec 2019

We are so proud to announce our 2019 Executive Committee! We couldn't have a stronger group of girls running and leading our chapter throughout this next year. Congrats ladies we are so proud of each and every single one of you and cannot wait to see what all y'all have in store for our chapter this year! This week we are introducing the first half of our Exec members!! (Livie Thomas: President) "Hi, my name is Livie Thomas! I grew up in Arab, AL, and I’m a junior here at UNA majoring in accounting! A fun fact about myself is that I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with sloths and actually got to pet one this summer! I joined Phi Mu in the Fall of 2016 and it has been one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made. I love Phi Mu because it has given me the opportunity to grow as a leader and develop lifelong friendships. It has helped me to understand the true value of being surrounded by strong, supportive, beautiful women. I previously served on the executive committee in as the Panhellenic Delegate, and I am honored to be serving as the President for Phi Mu, Theta Alpha this year! LIOB"

(Alli Walker: VP of Committees) "Hey y’all!! My name is Alli Walker and I hold the position of Vice President of Committees. I am a sophomore majoring in elementary education. I can’t wait to see what beautiful things Phi Mu Theta Alpha has in store for this year. Phi Mu has given me more than I could ever imagine and I hope to share it all with you!!"

(Makenzie Reck: Secretary) "Hey my name is Makenzie Reck and I hold the position of Theta Alpha Secretary. I am a sophomore majoring in Elementary Education. I am a member of the UNA Roar Dance Team. I love everything about Phi Mu, and I will be forever thankful that I get to be apart of such an amazing sisterhood. Phi Mu has brought me the most amazing girls that will be my sisters forever."

(Erica Nail: VP of Chapter Development) "Hi! My name is Erica Nail and I am a junior here at UNA where I am an applied health science major. I was so blessed and honor to get the position of Vice President of chapter development this year. Phi Mu has been such an important part of my college experience. Through Phi Mu, I have made friendships that will last a life time. This chapter has encouraged me to break out of my comfort zone and has truly shaped me into the person I am today. I hope with this position I can help make theta alpha continue to develop into the amazing chapter it is! LIOB

(Lily Touchstone: Panhellenic Delegate) "Hey y’all! My name is Lily Touchstone and I am a sophomore majoring in Nursing. I am originally from Memphis, TN. One of my favorite things to do is hang out with my friends and my puppy, Rory. I encourage everyone to go Greek. When I went through recruitment I went through a whirlwind of emotions but ended up making one of the best decisions of my life, pledging Phi Mu. Pledging Phi Mu has given me lifelong friendships and an opportunity to serve something I love. I have found a love for Phi Mu and my university that I did not know I could have.

(Mary Kate Elkins: Membership Director) "Hey, my name is Mary Kate Elkins! I am a junior here at UNA and majoring in Elementary Education. I have a mini golden doodle named Ellie, who is my bestie :) I love Phi Mu because it has given me so many opportunities to get involved and meet some amazing people. Phi Mu helps keep me accountable in all areas of my life. I am forever grateful to be apart of something bigger than myself!"

(Megan Smart: Director of Harm Reduction and Prevention) "Hi! My name is Megan Smart and I am a sophomore here at UNA! I am a social work major and I love everything about my major! I joined Phi Mu in fall of 2017 and it has been the best decision I have ever made! From the moment I walked into Phi Mu, I knew it was the place for me! I have always felt welcome, loved, and accepted for who I am! It has opened so many doors for me and I have made so many friends! I hold the Risk Management position in my chapter and I couldn’t be more thankful for this position!"

(Julie Bunt: New Member Director) "Hey! My name is Julie Bunt and I am a junior here at UNA! I’m majoring in elementary education but I want to continue my education after I graduate to become a school guidance counselor! One of the main reasons I love Phi Mu is because of how much it has helped me grow and gain confidence in myself."

(Brooke Moore: Treasurer) "Hey everyone! My name is Brooke Moore and I’m a junior here at UNA majoring in accounting and finance. Being a member of Phi Mu has been such an amazing experience and my love for this chapter grows everyday. One of my favorite things about Phi Mu is the amazing support system. My sisters always encourage me to try new things and they are always there to help."

(Madeline Bailey: Academic Advisor) "Hey, my name is Madeline Bailey and I am majoring in psychology and family studies. I am from Birmingham and didn’t know anyone in florence when I came to UNA! Phi Mu has given me a sense of family away from my own- it has greatly enhanced my leadership skills and my confidence. I am a university ambassador and involved in many other organizations on campus. If I was not in Phi Mu I would have never known I posses qualities making me able to accomplish these things!!"
